My Background

I was raised in the Kansas City area and attended Johnson County Community College on a basketball scholarship, then attended the University of Kansas. After working for Sprint for ten years in multiple roles including Sales, Operations, Project Management, and Product Management, I chose to pursue my passion of Wealth Management. I joined American Express Financial Advisors in 2004, which became Ameriprise Financial in 2005. In October 2012, I joined LPL Financial and a group of advisors to help create what is now nVision Wealth.

I hold a Series 7 through LPL Financial, Series 66 through both LPL Financial and IHT Wealth Management, multiple state licenses and the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor – CRPC®.

My Approach & Philosophy

I built my practice by cultivating long-term relationships, coaching clients through the personal planning process, and reinforcing my core beliefs of mutual trust and transparency. I do this by focusing on my client’s goals, risk tolerance, and by managing an integrated approach to wealth management through financial planning, educating, tax planning strategies, estate planning, leveraging the right technology, and much more. Everything is explored and covered. Unlike the traditional a la carte model of separate services and commissions, my practice is an all-encompassing, fee-based practice.
By taking a comprehensive approach to determining my client’s needs, I make sure we leave no stone unturned. I start with a current financial analysis to see where you are and what our starting point is, then look for strategies to fill any gaps. We continue to meet and review progress throughout the year.

My Personal Life

I live in Overland Park, Kansas and am a huge college basketball fan (Rock Chalk Jayhawk) along with being a die-hard NFL and fantasy football fan. In my spare time I love to spend time with my kids and play golf with friends.
