My Background

I was raised in southwest Missouri and moved to the Kansas City area in 1990. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2002, with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Economics. I have been in the Financial Services Industry since 2002. I was one of the first advisors to join nVision Wealth in May of 2012.

I hold a Series 7 through LPL Financial, along with Series 66 through both LPL Financial and IHT Wealth Management. I am licensed in several states to provide clients with insurance solutions such as life, health, and variable products.

My Approach & Philosophy

Many people have never worked with a financial advisor before and have no idea what to expect or where to begin. I approach comprehensive financial planning like we are creating a blueprint together. We analyze to figure out where you are today, then work toward your stated goals. It is very important to me to take time with every client and to help them understand the why and how of their financial portfolio. This education process helps us build a trusting relationship which is vital because life happens, the economy fluctuates, and the markets change. Therefore, I meet with clients on an ongoing, scheduled basis to make necessary adjustments in your financial plan and in your investments so we can stay on track toward your financial goals.

I focus on comprehensive financial planning, retirement income planning, tax strategies, investment management, insurance and estate strategy planning. I assist families and small business owners in prioritizing and pursuing their long-term goals through my proactive financial planning approach. I pride myself on providing exceptional client service with a high level of education and client interaction.

My Personal Life

I have been an Olathe resident since 1995. My wife Cindi and I currently live with four of our six children: Jackson, Sydney, Dawson, and Roman. My oldest son, Drew, has graduated from the University of Kansas and working in the Denver area. My oldest daughter, Adrianna, is in medical school at the University of Missouri Kansas City. My youngest daughter, Sydney, will start her freshman year at the University of Georgia in the fall 2020. I enjoy the outdoors, sporting events, spending time with my family, our many activities, and serving my church and community. I passionately support charities that provide services for our wounded service men and women and their families.
