My Background

I grew up in Paola, Kansas and graduated from Pittsburg State University where I double majored in Finance and Economics. I began working as a Financial Advisor is 2004 with Ameriprise Financial. I joined nVision Wealth in August of 2012. In 2007, I gained the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®) and earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) in 2013.

My Approach & Philosophy

In my experience working with individuals, families, and business owners, I see that everyone is focused on their busy daily routine and to-do lists, and the long-term goals typically take a backseat. So often, people make the mistake of investing and saving blindly. They simply put money into a college fund for their children or into an IRA or 401k plan, but they are unsure of how that money will grow and if what they are doing will meet their financial goals.

I am passionate about the financial planning process. We’ll discuss your complete financial picture – income, age, family, goals – to create a “blueprint” with step-by-step instructions. With today’s technology, this blueprint can be updated and adjusted in real time to make sure that you and your family are taking the right steps toward the future, whether it’s the retirement of your dreams, helping your children or grandchildren with a head start on college tuition, or ensuring your wealth stays in the family. We will sit down together and stress test your financial portfolio by running it through various scenarios, so that you have a clear benchmark of where you currently stand, and how to invest wisely to attain your goals.

My Personal Life

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Christina, and our children Cameron, Colten, and Brooklyn. I help coach my kids’ baseball, football, and basketball teams. We are big Royals and Chiefs fans and cheer them on during football and baseball season. I also enjoy serving with Hope Builders as we repair, maintain, or adapt homes for low income, elderly, or disabled people in the Kansas City community.
