My Background

I grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas, the youngest of ten children. I graduated from the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth with degrees in Business and Accounting. In 1989, I earned my MBA at Keller Graduate School of Management and attained my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2013.  I served as the Treasurer of the Board for the Leavenworth School District for eight years. Before joining the nVision Wealth team in the summer of 2013, I began my career in the Financial Industry in 2005 with Ameriprise Financial.

 My Approach & Philosophy

I use my education extensively in serving clients and my community. To me, financial planning is not simply about investing money. I value the process of looking at your entire financial picture then researching strategies that help address your personal financial goals.
I am passionate about helping young adults develop good financial habits and firmly believe it is never too late to begin investing. I am devoted to the multi-generational aspect of financial planning with families, therefore, my clients become like family. I am attentive to goals and milestones such as the birth of children and grandchildren, graduations, and weddings. I believe these momentous occasions and the smaller moments in between call for a financial advisor who continually walks alongside you.

My Personal Life

Since 1987, I have been happily married to my husband, Rick, and am the proud mother of two daughters, Rita and Beth. When I am away from work I can be found serving with my church in various ministries in the Kansas City area. I was involved with the Leavenworth Business Women’s Association and served on the Board of Directors for Awesome Ambitions, a youth mentoring program for high school girls in the Kansas City area.

I also enjoy traveling, camping, and simply relaxing on my deck around the fire pit.
