Mike Osborne, AIF®

Managing Partner, Financial Advisor

My Background

I was born and raised in central Kansas and graduated from Kansas State University with an Accounting degree. After college, I joined the Corporate Audit Group at Sprint where I had the opportunity to learn about many aspects of running a business while traveling the country doing special projects. Four years later I joined Sprint Spectrum, the newly formed wireless company that had the first commercial PCS network in the United States. My role as Financial Analyst for the Information Technology Strategic Planning Group continued to develop my knowledge of expanding and evolving a company’s infrastructure and operations. In 1999, I had the unique opportunity to join IXC Communications, a startup company in Austin. There I implemented processes in the Strategic Planning Group while managing contracts for several hundred consultants who were focusing on Y2K Readiness. In late 1999 IXC was acquired by Cincinnati Bell so I moved on to spend 4 years in various Executive level roles at Fujitsu Consulting.  It was during these years in the consulting industry that I realized my passion was helping businesses and individuals build and execute roadmaps for success. During this period of time I added becoming a business owner to my personal and professional goals. I met that goal in early 2003, when I became a wholesaler representing The Hartford Investments in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.  From there, I went on to represent John Hancock Investments until early 2012, when I started nVision Wealth.

I hold a Series 6 and 7 through LPL Financial, along with Series 63 and 65 through both LPL Financial and IHT Wealth Management, and multiple state registrations. I am licensed in insurance products, such as life, health, and variable products. I also hold the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®).

My Approach & Philosophy

I founded nVision Wealth in 2012 with the help of Paul Ward and Don Morse. They shared in my vision that Financial Advisors should not be focused on the number of clients they have but rather, on the relationships they have and the level of service they can provide to a smaller, more defined, client base. As a Managing Partner of nVision Wealth it is my job to guide the firm’s strategy and operations. As a Financial Advisor it is my goal to answer the phone when my clients call and be available to meet with them on short notice, at their convenience. All of my clients have my mobile phone number and know they can call anytime, day or night. By providing my clients with this personalized hands-on approach, I believe our chances for success are greatly increased. My hope is that my experience as an executive in competitive industries, and as a business owner, allows me to more effectively provide guidance to my clients and gives me insight into the concerns that CEOs, business owners, and high-net-worth investors deal with every day.

My Personal Life

In my free time I enjoy golfing. Having a hobby where I can be competitive at almost 50 years old is a blessing. Nothing more fun for me than whipping up on those young kids who can hit the golf ball a mile. I have had the privilege of playing golf in 31 states and 4 different countries. During the fall and winter you will find me in the duck blind enjoying the company of good friends and the relaxation that comes with the beauty only Mother Nature can provide. I am involved in fundraising activities including K-State Catbackers, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Folds of Honor Foundation, and The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
